The goal of AED’s Medically-Related Experiences Initiative is to provide students at UA with opportunities to gain meaningful and important experience necessary for applying to professional schools. We believe that exposure to clinical experience during your undergraduate career is crucial to a strong professional school application, and we strive to provide students with information on various health-related experiences, such as shadowing or scribing.
To gain shadowing experience through AED, we ask you to fill out the application linked below and complete the online HIPAA training. Please send the completed HIPAA acknowledgement form to the healthcare experiences initiative directors found at the bottom of the page. Once we have received your application via Google Forms as well as your HIPAA acknowledgement form, we will then attempt to find your shadowing placement in a timely manner.
