As a pre-medical student, it can be difficult to find time to explore the creative side of the academic world when most required classes fall within one of the sciences. However, while the sciences are both crucial and fascinating, there is much more involved in being a successful pre-medical student and future physician. Making its debut this year, AED’s Arts in Medicine program strives to promote academic well-roundedness and the exploration of medicine through mediums other than the sciences. The initiative will include activities such as book clubs, topical discussion groups, and special guest lectures while exploring subject areas including anthropology and the humanities.
